The Big Game | Berkeley v. Stanford
The Big Game is the annual football game between arch-nemesis universities of Berkeley and Stanford.
More than just a football game, the event sparks a whole week of festivities and spectacular rallies on both campuses including bonfires, performances by marching bands and spirit squads, and hilarious ceremonials like the Stanford tree chopping rally.
No matter your allegiance, hardcore fans and alumni have lots to look forward to every year.
Come experience the amazing talent of student performance groups, an explosive commemoration of the history of the Axe, and much more.
2016 Cal Big Game Rally
Friday, November 18, 2016 | 6 pm
Greek Theater, Gayley Rd, Berkeley
FREECome join the entire Cal community for the hottest and most exciting event of the year, the Big Game Rally.
This year’s rally will also feature the introduction of the Fiat Lux Torch, a ten-foot tall propane fueled embodiment of Cal spirit. Doors to the Greek Theater will open at 6 pm and the rally and fire will begin at 7 pm.
Many alumni come to speak and share stories of Big Games past, while the football team makes a quick visit, different student groups perform, cries of “Freshmen, more wood” are heard all night long, and the entire theater sits in the glow of candlelight as the fires dies down.
So bring your friends, family, or anyone you know to celebrate Cal and get ready to beat Stanford.
Seating is first come, first serve, and fans are encouraged to arrive early. Doors open at 6 pm.
