Jason Novak, a cartoonist whose work has appeared in the New Yorker, the Paris Review, and the Believer, among other places (and an Oakland native). He recently collaborated with celebrated poet Ron Padgett to create a book-length interpretation of one of Ron’s most-loved poems, “How to Be Perfect”.

Adam Bessie writes non-fiction cartoons and comics which have appeared in The Atlantic, The Boston Globe, and more. Adam also teaches English at Diablo Valley College.

Jason & Adam will also be live cartooning w/ audience participation. Jess and Jessie will be hosting the Escapist Comics Podcast Live during the event so it will be an action packed day.
