Event Details

Join the Cayuga neighbors at 11 am on Saturday, August 17, 2013, for the grand reopening celebration of Cayuga Playground, which has recently undergone a $7 million renovation under the 2008 Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond.

Meet special guest Demetrio “Demi” Braceros, a retired city gardener who spent much of his career at Cayuga fashioning hundreds of old tree trunks into works of art, using only his imagination and trusty chainsaw. His sculptures have been preserved and are on permanent display at the park.

There will also be a ribbon cutting, scavenger hunt, live music, arts, crafts, tours, and family fun.
