Event Details

Ceremony is a theatrical fashion healing ritual utilizing poetry, music, dance, and costuming to highlight the life arc of Black and Brown women as they fight to access true destiny whilst residing in unjust life spaces. The heat of such a journey can render the spirit muted and wounded.

Ceremony, believes that trauma silenced chokes off the breath of passionate dreams and desires. Ceremony seeks to be the ignitor of the voice released by: acknowledging the journey into trauma (Passage), bringing trauma to the surface (Hush Harbour), battling the roots of trauma (Insurrection), providing a restorative blueprint (Reclamation), and offering wisdom for soul prosperity (The Rise).
