Event Details

Gordon Edgar reads from his new book “Cheddar: A Journey to the Heart of America’s Most Iconic Cheese” and offers a sampling of some great American cheddars.

Edgar will discuss different types of cheddar, examine cheddar as an example of how America’s food system developed, and explain why we love this cheese so much. “Cheddar” and Edgar’s first book “Cheesemonger: A Life on the Wedge” will be available for purchase, with a percentage of each sale donated to Friends of South San Francisco Public Library. The event itself is free.
