Event Details

Children’s Day is a celebration of brilliance, light, and the children of the world. Everyone will join in decorating the shrine, being host at the court by the Children’s Day King and Queen, and coming together for a lively potluck celebration on Sunday, December 20, 2015.

Free with an RSVP required. Donations are welcome to help with the costs.

2015 Schedule

  • 9:30 am: Arrive & set up the Children’s Shrine
  • 10 am: Regular Open House begins & Children’s Program begins
  • 12 pm: Potluck Lunch
  • 12:45 pm: Celebration with King and Queen and the story of Ileana

Please bring a hearty dish to share. Parents should bring a wrapped gift for their child. Children should bring a gift to donate.

At a time when the weather begins to bear down upon us, you can turn to family for celebration, creativity, and generosity. A major theme of this time of year is the play of darkness and light. A special Children’s Shrine will be created and hear stories of the journey of the sun.
