Come to Asian Art Museum on Sunday, February 12, 2012 for a special free day – including free entry to the special exhibit Maharaja: Splendors of India’s Royal Courts.

Explore the life and times of India’s great kings: see Ranjit Singh’s gold throne, Mughal and Rajasthani masterpiece paintings, a diamond belt, a Hyderabad princess’s bridal dress, and more.

Round out your visit with docent tours, art activities, storytelling, and a screening of hit Bollywood film Lagaan at noon.

Normally there’s a $5 surcharge to see this exhibit, even on free monthly days at the museum, so today is a rare treat to see everything for free!
