The annual Asian Heritage Street Celebration is a massive block party and street fair held in Civic Center stretching from the Asian Art Museum up to Little Saigon with a cultural performances, food trucks, a cinema showcase and free admission to the Asian Art Museum.

2015 Festival Highlights:

  • Thai Monk Blessing – 10:30 am | Thai monks from the Wat Buddhapradeep in San Bruno will perform a blessing to kick off festivities. | Civic Center Stage
  • Asian Arts and Crafts World Market  – Showcases the best and most creative Asian-themed arts and hand-crafted goods from artists in a wide variety of mediums from these jury selected artisan vendors. Handcrafted jewelry, fabric handbags made with Asian inspired-prints, Asian-influenced apparel and more.
  • Cinema Showcase (Asian Art Museum) – 2:30–3:30 pm | Eight hand-picked short films- some of whom having recently screened at CAAMFest 2015- cover a wide variety of topics across the spectrum, but a shared commonality they have is the persistence and endurance our heroes must have in order to succeed in their tasks and circumstances at hand.
  • Asian Art Museum Free Day – 11 am to 4 pm | Music and dance from Burma, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam and art activities.
