Funcheap Reservation Tips

  • Please note the phone lines can get busy and that the staff at Fort Point often get overwhelmed with requests and may not be able to return your phone call.
  • We recommend making your reservations at least one month in advance

About Fort Point: From its vantage point overlooking the spectacular Golden Gate, Fort Point protected San Francisco harbor from Confederate & foreign attack during & after the U.S. Civil War. Its beautifully arched casemates display the art of the master brick mason from the Civil War period.

Directions: Fort Point is located at the south anchorage of the Golden Gate Bridge at the end of Marine Drive on the Presidio of San Francisco. By public transit, San Francisco Muni 28 and 29 bus routes stop at bridge toll plaza. Follow trail signs northeast of plaza area to Fort Point at base of bluffs.
