The Golden Gate Bridge goes dark in honor of the annual “Earth Hour”

Join environmentally-conscious people all over the globe by turning off your lights for one hour on Saturday night and instead light candles, or simply enjoy the dark of the night.

The Golden Gate Bridge along with dozens of buildings, monuments all over the country all turning off their non-essential lighting at 8:30 pm on Saturday, March 28, 2015.

Participation is easy. By flipping off your lights at 8:30 pm local time you will be making the switch to a cleaner, more secure nation and prosperous America.

San Francisco Earth Hour 2015
San Francisco will be turning off the lights on the Golden Gate Bridge, but no word yet on other monuments. In past years SF City Hall also participated and went dark for an hour.
