Free Comic Book Day is a single day – the first Saturday in May each year (May 4 in 2013) when participating comic book shops give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their stores.

The comics you can get vary from store to store, but highlights from 2013 include exclusive comic books from Superman, Star Wars, SpongeBob, The Walking Dead and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. >> See the full 2013 list of free comics.
