Fillmore Street will be enlivened by the sounds of live jazz performances from the Contemporary Jazz Orchestra at six Fillmore Street locations from Washington Street to Bush Street from 1-4 pm on Saturday, May 16, 2015.

Get your dancing shoes on and come stroll to the music, get a bite to eat and peruse the various shops hosting sales and surprises.

The Contemporary Jazz Orchestra is a 16-piece jazz ensemble featuring top-notch musicians of the Bay Area established in 1995 and hand-selected band as an exciting be-bop and post-bop experience, featuring the music of Thad Jones, Oliver Nelson, Frank Foster, Duke Ellington and Charles Mingus. Over the years original arrangements were added and recorded, giving the band a unique identity and a new bent toward original music.
