50th Anniversary Season Background

The Oakland Athletics will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary in Oakland throughout the 2018 season, which will include appearances by A’s alumni, special promotions, events and giveaways. The A’s have created a special 50th anniversary logo to commemorate this important milestone. The logo emphasizes the team’s connection to Oakland through the use of the Oakland tree and city skyline. The logo’s shape is inspired by the iconic Oakland Fox Theater’s marquee.

The color used in the number 50, Oakland tree, roof tops of the federal buildings, and logo border is a special 50th anniversary gold. The team will wear a modified version of the logo as a patch on the sleeve of home and visitor A’s jerseys during the 2018 season.
