Construction is supposed to begin late February/early March. The plans for the rainbow crosswalks aren’t 100% finalized yet as the CBD and Planning Department be conducting a final survey at Jane Warner Plaza (Castro/Market) on Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 1 to 4 pm.

So if you’d like to see the streets of the Castro a bit more festive, make sure you let the Planning Department know how you feel.

In the meantime, here’s some other cities with Rainbow crosswalks to get us inspired.
