SantaCon 2013

The massive city-wide Santas-only pub crawl | Saturday
By - posted 12/13/2013 No Comment

“SantaCon” or “Santarchy” is San Francisco’s annual city-wide Santas-only pub crawl happening on Saturday, December 14, 2013.

This flash mob-type event brings together hundreds of slightly sober people dressed in Santa costumes parading around the city, visiting landmarks (like walking down Lombard Street) drinking at bars and causing general mayhem.

And just so you know, wearing a santa hat isn’t enough… get yourself a full-on santa suit.

SantaCon 2013
Saturday, December 14, 2013 – Noon
Meet at Union Square Park, San Francisco
FREE

The main rules:

1) Wear a full-on santa suit
2) Don’t be a drunken jerk – don’t mess with the police or bartenders or kids
3) Download santa’s song book
4) Bring a toy to donate at Union Square (optional, but awesome)

>> Full updated details for 2013 at http://sanfranciscosantarchy.wordpress.com

Toy Donations: New for 2013 – Bring a toy to with you to Union Square.  There will be a SFFD fire truck parked outside of the Handlery Union Square Hotel, located at 351 Geary Street from 11:30am to 1:30pm

12:00 PM – Meet at Union Square, get your toy to the fire truck, hang out and mix with the public, meet other Santa’s and whatnot then head out to one of the routes.

3:00 PM – Meet up at Duboce Park for a SNOWBALL FIGHT. Yes, you heard right, Santa will be there with real snow. Here is a map so you know where the park is. DON’T be a jerk during the snowball fight. The idea is to have fun, not hurt people. Santa encourages you to come up with other Reindeer Games and activity’s other Santa’s can join in on. Lets have fun.

4:00 PM – Head back the bars, parties or go home.

Routes – All Day Parties and After Parties.
