San Francisco’s official block party season starts March 9th

Sunday Streets (March – October 2014) is San Francisco’s official block party – a sorta-monthly roving neighborhood celebration and five hour street party where the streets are closed to vehicles, so pedestrians, roller skaters, bicyclists, yoga classes, and everyone except for cars can take over the streets for an afternoon.

What happens at Sunday Streets?
Every month is a completely different party, but throughout the 2014 season you can expect activities like treasure hunts, dance performances, hula hooping, dodgeball games, yoga classes, bubble parties, and tons more fun stuff in the city streets, all for free.

March 9: Season kick-off on The Embarcadero (11am to 4pm)

April 13: Tenderloin/Civic Center

May 4: Bayview/Dogpatch

June 8: Golden Gate Park/Great Highway

July 13: Richmond

August 24: Mission

September 14: Western Addition

September 28: Excelsior

October 26: Season finale in the Mission
