Sunday Streets (April – November 2016) is San Francisco’s official block party – a sorta-monthly roving neighborhood celebration and five hour street party where the streets are closed to vehicles, so pedestrians, roller skaters, bicyclists, yogis, and everyone except for cars can take over the streets for an afternoon. Plus there’s an opening procession kicking off each route.

Sunday Streets in the Excelsior will take place on Sunday October 16, 11am to 4pm on Mission Street between Theresa/Avalon and Geneva Avenue. As in years past, Sunday Streets will partner with the Excelsior Arts and Music Festival at the Persia Triangle.

The event is rain or shine.

Every month is a completely different party, but throughout the 2016 season you can expect activities like treasure hunts, dance performances, hula hooping, dodgeball games, yoga classes, bubble parties, and tons more fun stuff in the city streets, all for free.
