Confirmed for 2012!
Local skateboarding legends Toad & Salmon will be hosting their 8th annual “Chili Bowl” cook out and skate-off at the La Raza Skatepark in San Francisco’s Potrero Del Sol Park on Saturday, August 25, 2012 (Noon to 6pm)

Watch local skateboarders compete to see who has the best kickflip in the city and stick around though for the chili cook-out contest later in the day.

Skateboard Prelims – Chili Cook Off – Skateboard Finals
If previous years are any indication, there will be about 20 local skateboarders in a freestyle contest in the custom-made concrete bowl, and also a chili cook off contest with about a dozen contestants.

Preliminary round of the skateboard contest will be followed by the chili cook off (in past years, leftovers after the judges has their taste were free). Skateboard finals are generally in the afternoon.

>> Free and open to the public to watch – but please note, this is a DIY-style informal event and things can change (or be canceled) at the last minute.
