President Obama has said, “Today, high-speed broadband is not a luxury…It’s a necessity.” CivicMakers, the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Civic Innovation and Startup Policy Lab at Orange Silicon Valley invite you for a conversation about the opportunities and challenges with a fiber-to-the-home rollout in San Francisco.

Free, but an RSVP is required.

The agenda includes remarks by PUC Commissioner Catherine Sandoval, Orange Chairman and CEO, Stéphane Richard, San Francisco Supervisor Mark Farrell, a panel of civic stakeholders, and cocktails with heavy hors d’oeuvres at which time we encourage participants to try multiple gigabit experiences through Orange GigaStudio. The audience will include 100 civic and tech leaders from the Bay Area.

Space is Limited. Parking is available at the Rincon Center at 121 Spear Street.

The event will be led by CivicMakers, a community of passionate citizens building a better democracy, empowered by the potential of Internet technology, and Orange GigaStudio, a consumer fiber apps initiative out of Orange Silicon Valley, with support from Startup Policy Lab.
