Classic San Francisco Movies: SF Library’s Free Film Festival | 2014

Enjoy free movies all summer long at your neighborhood library during the 3rd Annual San Francisco Library Film Festival. Every movie being screened is either set in San Francisco or was filmed here.

The 2014 edition of this free film festival features San Francisco classics including the amazing car chase scenes of Bullitt, a screening of Milk at the Milk Library, monsters destroying San Francisco in the 1950s in It Came From Beneath the Sea and more.

Free popcorn? Several of the screenings (though none at the Main Library) will have free popcorn.

Bette Davis is Arlene Bradford, a spoiled high society girl gone bad in this 1934 fast-paced crime drama filmed in San Francisco.

With its complicated plot and ambiguous characters Fog Over Frisco has been compared to Hitchcock.
