Clothing Swap ‘n Sew Party & Fashion Show | SoMa
Freespace is a pop-up community center focused on hacking the civic experience. It is hosted in a 14,000 sqft warehouse in S0Ma, San Francisco, envisioned and implemented entirely by you.
Freespace was originally just a one month project, but it was extended to two months thanks to successful indiegogo campaign. They’re now open periodically (check their schedule) with events scheduled for October 2013 including a wide array of events and projects like classes, music, art, silent discos, yoga, a free bikeshare, community engagement and field trips, and more than a few silly costumes.
Bring your old clothes and sewing supplies, then join in and swap clothes (for keeps) or cut them up and create something new. Turn your new finds into rad costumes.
Then stick around for a fashion runway show at 6:30 pm.
Remaining clothes will be donated.
