Event Details

ClownSnotBombs is a company of six multitalented physical theater artists, circus performers and musicians, who are dedicated to creating new theater and bringing joy to Bay Area audiences young and old.

The company is putting on a free kid-friendly performance in Mint Plaza at 1 pm on Sunday, March 2, 2014, while the SF History Expo takes place inside The Old Mint. This all new performance piece features a menu of circus with entrees of acrobatics, comedy, performance art, physical theater, circus skills, and original music.

Founded in 2006 in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, ClownSnotBombs began as a collaboration between circus artists and musicians, touring and performing across the country in a vegetable oil-powered bus. In 2012, they were awarded a CA$H grant administered by Theater Bay Area to create a new work called “A Spaghetti Western,” a contemporary ensemble-based show directed by Faeble Kievman that follows a band of travelers as they bring the power of pasta to the western frontier.
