Children’s Book Release: Free Champagne & Birthday Cake | Berkeley

In celebration of Karima Cammell’s newly released book, Commonplace Birthday, Castle in the Air, an amazing little stationary store, will be hosting a Commonplace birthday party on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 6-8pm complete with complimentary champagne and birthday cake.

The Commonplace Birthday festivities continue all weekend long from Friday, March 15 – Sunday 17, 2013 when from noon to 4pm each day Castle in the Air will be welcoming children and adults alike with free drop-in crafting workshops to make birthday cards, garlands, and crepe paper flowers to be donated to the Child Life Gift Fund, which supports activities and special events such as birthday parties for children at Oakland Children’s Hospital.

All crafts and proceeds from the sale of Commonplace Birthday will also be donated to the Oakland Children’s Hospital.
