Cyberpunk Cinema Night | Mission Dist.

Cyberpunk Cinema, by Thrillhouse Records, presents cyberpunk movie classics at The Knockout in the Mission every second Monday of the month from 6:30-9 pm.

They’ll show one episode of Cowboy Bebop at 6:30 pm, followed by the feature film. Use #cyberpunkcinema during the event to share trivia, thoughts or squishy human feelings on the HD projection screen.

This time they are showing Gattaca (1997):

Go alphaville with the genetic nineties noir triumph that is Gattaca!  Eugene Morrow is a navigator for Gattaca Aerospace Corporation.  A perfect human specimen, Eugene is genetically entitled to good looks, olympic medals and a mission to Saturn’s moon Titan.  But what if Eugene’s credentials are invalid?  What if a janitor is playing the long con grift?  Can the will to power cancel out genetic discrimination in an oppressive society?  Featuring Frank Lloyd Wright’s Marin Fairground Building, Ethan “Purge” Hawke, Uma Kill Bill, Jude Law, Cabby Borgnine, Casey Jones Koteas & Alan Arkin.  Directed by Andrew Niccol.
