Sneakers(1992)

A quirky whitehat security team descends a back door rabbit hole of algorithms, espionage and encryption. What would happen if you could pwn the phone lines, the banks, the databases and every global 1990’s system with 14.4 kbps and tape drives? Sneakers was written by the same team responsible for Wargames, and is chock full of Cap’n Crunch era hacks, as well as a bittersweet portrayal of our current cybersecurity state. Featuring an ensemble cast of Dan Aliens and Vodka Aykroyd, Robert Momcrush Redford, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner Pointier, River Indy Jr Phoenix, Lord James Earl Vader Jones, Ghandi Kingsley, It’s a doooozy Tobolowski & Mary mother of Darko McDonnell. Directed by Phil Alden Robinson and written by Lawrence Lasker & William F. Parkes.
