San Francisco Kwanzaa Celebration | 2012
The Village Project and the Bayview Y present San Francisco’s 7th Annual Kwanzaa Celebration — Uniting to Strengthen Our Families and Communities. The celebration honors the seven principles of Kwanzaa with 14 free events taking place over seven days throughout San Francisco.
2012 events will also highlight the celebbration of the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation.
Day 6: Kuumba (creativity): to do as much as we can to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it.
- 2 pm – performance by Soul Mechanix – The Jazz Heritage Center/Yoshi’s, 1330 Fillmore
- 6 pm – Augusta Collins Blues Band @ Marcus Book Store, 1712 Fillmore @ Post
