The Día de los Muertos celebration this year, local artists and community members will create ofrendas (altars) to honor the spirits and lives of loved ones who have passed, whether they be ancestors or important historical figures.

These altars, which will be displayed at Al Boro Community Center, serve as an invitation to those who have passed to visit on Día de los Muertos. Children and adults alike will have the opportunity to view and create altars through workshops and school group visits. On the day of the festival, the traditional procession will pass through the Canal neighborhood.
