Have you ever watched a home improvement show and wished you could bring thavt TV magic into your own home? Do you want the as-seen-on-TV look, but need it on a budget? Get pro-tips for your project at the Oakland ReStore’s DIY Community Event, featuring General Contractor and DIY Expert Johnathan Brewer II of OWN’s “Home Made Simple.”

This free and family-friendly event will be hosted in our Oakland ReStore on Saturday, March 3rd from 9:00 to 11:00am. Join us for a meet and greet with refreshments, followed by a screening of one of Johnathan’s favorite episodes of “Home Made Simple.” Afterwards, Johnathan will show us how to repurpose our favorite ReStore finds in a Live DIY demonstration!

For those who don’t know Johnathan Brewer II, he’s an Oakland Firefighter, Licensed General Contractor, and an Oakland local. His construction firm, Brewer Builds, specializes in kitchen, bathroom and home remodels, and he’s appeared on HGTV and the DIY Network. Johnathan is also the on-air carpenter opposite Laila Ali on Daytime Emmy Award-Winning “Home Made Simple,” which empowers viewers to take on simple do it yourself household projects with confidence.
