DIY Monthly: Crafting at the Library | East Bay

Crafting at the Library is a monthly DIY series where you explore using natural, recycled, and repurposed materials to create jewelry, household décor, gifts, and more.

Workshops are free and open to ages 12 and up, but an RSVP is required; register online at , call 510-881-7975, or email heidi.ontiveros@hayward-ca.gov.

Use colorful wool roving to make bars of soap that are felted right into their own exfoliating washcloths.

Striped or solid, plain or fancy–you decide. We’ll provide everything you need to make one felted soap bar, but if there’s a special soap you want to use, please do bring it along.
