Dolores Park Earth Day 2018: “Love Dolores Celebration” | SF

Join in at Dolores Park for the Love Dolores Celebration on Earth Day weekend.

Dolores Parks Works and The Dolores Park Ambassadors have partnered up with Rec and Park and the Love Dolores folks for three days of service in the park. Thursday, they will kickoff with the now famous Dolores Garden Club to help beautify Dolores from 10 am to noon.

The Dolores Park Ambassadors will join a lineup of community stars, Cheer SF, the City’s official cheerleaders; Dolores Flow with flags, hoops and balls; Velocity Circus, magical theatre on the move and the Bridgemen, gay-bi-trans men’s social service volunteers, Bike Polo club, Giant Bubble crew, Robot Dance Party, and local merchants doing what they do best.

Plus special guests The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will be in attendance, who are not seen regularly in Dolores since they decamped for Golden Gate Park.

Earth Day Celebration takes places throughout Dolores Park from 2-6 pm and they need your help. Simple gardening tasks will take place on Thursday; families and children welcome. Saturday and Sunday, help throughout the park with logistics and spreading the good work of the day, “Don’t trash Dolores; use the can.”
