Bring your family to College Hill Learning Garden on Earth Day, Monday April 22nd, for a three part workshop series on sustainable windowsill gardens. Participate in one, two, or all three workshops to discover how easy it is to grow, eat, and compost your own produce, no matter what space you have.

Workshop descriptions:
(Please RSVP for each workshop you plan to attend, as well as for each guest you plan to bring)

  • Upcycled Container Growing From Your Windowsill or Balcony (4:00 pm-5:00 pm)
    Windowsill planter boxes, soil, compost, and seeds will be provided.
  • Windowsill Produce Cooking Demonstration (5:00-6:00 pm)
    Dinner and a recipe will be provided, a fresh spring risotto (gluten free and vegan), using the same produce as planted in the first workshop.
    Plates, utensils, and cups will be provided, however everyone is encouraged to bring their own to limit waste.
  • Windowsill Composting and DIY Worm Bins (6:00-7:00 pm)
    DIY worm bin and worms will be provided for each household

This event is kid friendly, but requires an adult guardian in attendance at all times. There will have snacks, raffle prizes, and giveaway items throughout the event.
