Bring your family, friends, and bicycles to celebrate Earth Day. Join the City of Fremont and Washington Hospital to celebrate the beautiful planet Earth on Saturday, April 21, 2018.
Stop by with friends and family (and don’t forget to ride your bike). This event will feature fun and educational activities for the entire family.
Earth Day Fair 2018
Saturday, April 21, 2018 | 11 am to 3 pm
Washington Hospital West, 2500 Mowry Ave, Fremont
FREE, but a Facebook RSVP is requested.Earth Day Fair includes:
- Bike rodeo
- Exhibits on recycling/composting, home energy savings, and healthy eating
- Free basic bike tune-ups
- Arts and crafts
- Games, activities, and face painting
- Confidential document shredding
- Food trucks
Bike East Bay will also be hosting a “Bike Rodeo” and providing kids with fun and interactive lessons on road awareness and safety skills. Bikes and helmets will be provided but feel free to bring your own.
If you ride your bike to the event, free bike valet parking will be available and one of Fremont’s local bike shops will provide basic tune-ups.
There will also be collection stations for old eyeglasses, sharps (must be in approved sharps container), and unused or unwanted medications, as well as a free opportunity to exchange your hazardous mercury thermometer for a mercury-free thermometer.
