The Eastside Arts Alliance is shutting down 23rd Avenue in Oakland (between E 12th and International) for a block party commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Black and Chicano Arts movements, from noon to 5 pm on Saturday, October 25, 2014.

It’s free and features live music by The Howard Wiley Trio, Fua dia Congo, NAKA and Deep Waters Dance Theaters, local artisan and food vendors, kids activities and a mural unveiling.
