Event Details

Take a social, historical and critical tour through the city’s ecological past and present by riding your bike along lost sand dunes, ponds, creeks and coastline.

Please email to RSVP and include your phone number so they can call you if rain washes out the tour. Less than five people cancels.

The focus will be on the city from the center southward, covering the Mission before heading to Heron’s Head Park and then making our way northward along the Bayshore, The Farm, water and sewage, geology, community gardens, San Bruno Mountain, and more.

They request a $15-50 sliding scale donation benefiting Shaping San Francisco for bike tours, but are very flexible and you can pay less–or more–as you see fit. We have been told that nobody is turned away for lack of funds.

The tour starts at 518 Valencia, near 16th, and ends at Warm Water Cove (24th and Bayshore).

Disclaimer: Please double check event information with the event organizer as events can be canceled, details can change after they are added to our calendar, and errors do occur.
