There is no such thing as “clean coal” and if you want proof come watch this free documentary about the ecological, social and health impact of coal mining and mountain-top removal.

Burning the Future: Coal in America is an up-to-date documentary on the subject of the coal crisis. The film follows the forces that have set in motion conflict between the coal industry and residents of West Virginia, where over 1.4 million acres of mountains have been destroyed and groundwater polluted.

Location: Once, you’ve entered the Main Branch of the Public Library, before you pass the security gate, head downstairs to the 200+ seat Koret Auditorium.
