SF Civic Symphony: Summer Orchestra Workshop | SF

Every Wednesday through August 16th.

San Francisco Civic Symphony’s Summer String Orchestra Music Workshop is a fun seven week workshop providing amateur musicians with little or no symphony experience a chance to explore music from “inside” an orchestra.

SF Civic Symphony Orchestra Workshop
Wednesdays, July 5 – August 16, 2017 | 6:45 pm-9 pm
SF Civic Symphony, 762 Fulton Street, SF
Free, but an RSVP is required.

It’s free, but if you can afford to make a $50 donation that will help defray the costs of running the program – still a great price for a seven-week course.

The workshop is the perfect way to reintroduce yourself to playing in an ensemble. Many players in previous years have been working adults who missed the experience of playing in high school or college, or have been away too long. Players of all levels are welcome and more experienced string players often join in to provide support, or just to have fun.

It’s summer, so if you can’t attend all the evenings that’s fine. But try to make as many as you can to get the most out of the workshop.
