Event Details

Celebrate Bay Area’s literary scene at the 36th Annual Northern California Book Awards as it recognizes the best published works of 2016 and celebrates Northern California authors.

Poet, activist, and scholar Judy Grahn will be honored with the Fred Cody Award for Lifetime Achievement and Service. The NBCR Recognition Award will also be presented.

Authors will read briefly from the winning books. A book signing and reception with authors follows the Awards Ceremony in the Latino/Hispanic Room. Nominated books for sale by Readers Bookstore at Main/Friends of the SF Public Library. Master of Ceremonies will be Oscar Villalon, ZYZZYVA Managing Editor.
