Bring the kids to the Second Annual Family Art Day at Hunters Point Shipyard to visit the Youth Educational Spaceship (YES) Project, take a mosaic workshop and watch robotics demos from 11 am to 4 pm on Saturday, November 9, 2013.
They will be hosting tours and activities for youth in and around the spacecraft (located in Building 101 on the Hunters Point Shipyard) which made its first appearance at Burning Man 2013. This event is happening during the Hunters Point Open Studios weekend.
2013 Family Art Day
Saturday, November 9, 2013 | 11 am to 4 pm
HPS Sustainability Center, 351 Galvez Ave, San Francisco
FREE2013 activities will include:
- Art making and demonstrations
- Scavenger hunts
- Tours of artist studios for kids
- Interactive YES Project tours
- Workshops in mosaics
- LED lights and robotics demonstrations
Family Art Day is focused on the importance of art in community building and creating connections between the public and artists at the Shipyard.
