Week Of The Family 2020 | San Carlos

San Carlos will celebrate its 21st annual Week of the Family which sees hundreds of families come together for fun, free activities in the San Carlos neighborhood from January 17 – 25, 2020.

The goals of the San Carlos Week of the Family are to:

  • Strengthen family relationships
  • Provide families in our community the tools that help families
  • Promote family life
  • Honor and pay tribute to families
  • Encourage families serving families
  • Have lots of fun

The San Carlos Week of the Family is an annual event organized by community volunteers whose goal is to strengthen family relationships by providing a series of activities focusing on family and community interaction. Celebrating twenty year, the Week of the Family committee and its volunteers are proud to contribute to the quality of life and the family-orientated community of The City of Good Living.

Please join the hundreds of families that have enjoyed Week of the Family by participating in one or more of the mostly free activities offered. You’re sure to find something entertaining and fun for your entire family.

San Carlos families take many forms. Everyone in our community is encouraged to participate.

Week Of The Family 2020 | San Carlos

This Nature Hike is at the Edgewood Park.

Join Kaiser Permanente’s Dr. Marc Philippe, an internal medicine physician and San Carlos resident, on a family friendly hike. Dr Philippe will lead some stretching prior to the hike and talk about the health benefits of exercise.

The 2 pm nature hike is at the Edgewood Park. Meet at the parking lot just off of Edgewood Road. This is a 3-mile hike with 300 ft. elevation gain.

The trails are single track, in good condition and suitable for anyone is good physical condition. Poison oak has been trimmed from the trail, but please wear long pants and hiking shoes. Space is limited to 30 hikers and reservations are requested.
