How Your Favorite Book Becomes A Hollywood Movie | SFNoted independent filmmaker Kirk Shannon-Butts (OUT 100, Frameline – Best First Film Nominee, Uptown Magazine “25 To Watch In Hollywood”), director of the hit movie Blueprint and the upcoming film Julien’s Bed, will discuss and share clips from his works and share his latest project – the adaptation of The Day Eazy E Died from the novel B-Boy Blues by best-selling author James Earl Hardy.

Shannon-Butts will also show how popular books are made into movies and then give writers a chance to pitch their work to him in a one-on-one 90 second pitch session on September 8, 2012.
