Firehouse Arts Center Free Summer First Fridays | Pleasanton
On the first Fridays of June, July, and August in 2013, Pleasanton’s Firehouse Arts Center will be open to the public, offering a variety of free events and activities in the Firehouse Theater, Harrington Gallery, classrooms and lobby.
The center is an architecturally unique complex that combines the historically preserved original Firehouse Station #1 with integrated new construction.
There is an Open Mic at 5:15 pm, with signups starting at 4:30 pm. It is anchored by a different guest closing act each month.

Improv & Mixed Media Art | Firehouse Arts Center Free Summer First Fridays | PleasantonThe first Firehouse Open Mic on June 7 will feature the City of Pleasanton’s own award-winning teen improv team Creatures of Impulse.
The two-story high Grand Atrium Lobby will host demonstrations by collage and mixed media artist, Sally Haig.
The Harrington Gallery will have a new installation titled The Contemporary Landscape, and children visiting on First Fridays will have the opportunity to create their own art work in a studio project session.
