It’s time for that tropical vacation again – without leaving the Bay Area. Take a holiday weekend trip to the exotic island of Alameda for Forbidden Island’s Annual Luau.
Serving award-winning, world famous classic and exotic cocktails with many original recipes, along with some tasty snacks, Forbidden Island is a retro-oasis in the desert of your modern day.

Outdoors:
- 2 pm: Live Hapa Haole music by Hot Steel & Cool Ukulele in the parking lot
Songs about Hawai‘i or some aspect of Hawaiian culture with English lyrics mostly performed by American Artists, popular in the early 20th Century- 3 pm: Pig Roast with delicious Hawaiian inspired dishes, such as Lomi Lomi Salad, Roasted Sweet Potatoes and Poi, provided by Family Affaire Catering, Alameda. $10/plate
- 3:30-5 pm: Live Hula dancing by Aloha Polynesia
Indoors:
- 2-6 pm: Vintage Hawaiian and Exotica vinyl, selected by DJ Tiki Tom LG
Evening:
- 6:30 pm (Dusk): Fire-Dancing by Fire Pixie Entertainment
- 7-9 pm: Kitty Chow and Fisherman
