Free Seasonal Cooking Demo & Tasting | Ferry Plaza Farmers Market
This waterfront market, run by the Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture (CUESA), has over 100 food, fruit, and vegetable vendors on Saturdays and the entire Bay as its beautiful backdrop.
The Ferry Plaza Farmers Market operates year-round from 8 am to 2 pm.
On most Saturdays, free cooking demos take place in the CUESA Classroom (under the white tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.

Stop by the CUESA Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and highlighting a relationship forged at the market.
Eatwell Farm and Bay Leaf Kitchen have been partnering, over the last three years, to educate families and children about local, sustainable food and produce and how to cook it. Together, they teach the whole process from the seed to mouth. Bay Leaf Kitchen programs make regular visits to Eatwell Farm in Dixon, CA bringing children to the farm to harvest, cook and eat together. Elianna Friedman, the founder of Bay Leaf Kitchen, worked at CUESA as the Market Chef for 3 years and created the Foodwise Kids program, which is a free program for elementary school classes that uses the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market as a classroom for empowering the next generation of healthy eaters.
