Every first Monday of the month, The Make-Out Room presents a free concert with several local bands showing off the cutting edge of jazz and improvised music.

Expect progressive sounds with a mix of anything from jazz, folk, rock to electronic music.

BlipBand, Duo B. & Cory Wright's VFW | CANCELED: Free Cutting-Edge Avant Garde Concert | Make-Out Room

The Monday Makeout presents a free improv concert at the Make-Out Room on Monday, January 7, 2013.

Will Redmond’s BlipBand (8:30 pm)
BlipBand – a new project of Will Redmond (Blip Vert) features a group of rotating instrumentalists that he fronts with electric kalimba that features structured compositions, complex rhythmic passages, and free improv blowouts.
 
duo B. + Noah Phillips (9:30 pm)
A 10-year musical and creative collaboration, duo B. is an ensemble of acoustic bass and percussion that plays ethereal chamber music wrapped in dense improvised soundscapes.
