Come hear from Vijay Iyer, the New York-based jazz composer and pianist, who is currently in his second year as SF Performances’ Jazz Artist-in-Residence and who will share his recent explorations on April 12, 2013.

Over the past decade, he has established himself as one of the most compelling jazz leaders in the field. He was named 2010 Musician of the Year in the Jazz Journalists Association Awards and, “By now, there can be no doubt that pianist/composer Iyer stands among the most daringly original jazz artists of [his] generation,” writes Howard Reich in the Chicago Tribune.
