Get a free lift ticket and hit the slopes one last time before Doomsday approaches at Bear Valley Mountain on Thursday, December 20, 2012.

Bear Valley Mountain is opening one day earlier than planned and will offer a free lift ticket on opening day.

Bear Valley originally announced plans to open December 21st, 2012. The resort has now opted to push the date up to Thursday, December 20th, 2012, just in case the mystical doomsday prophecy for December 21st, 2012 comes true.

Free tickets will be issued at the resort on December 20th only, beginning at 9am. All guests must have a lift ticket or a valid 2012/13 season pass to ride lift.
