Created by the Bay Area’s scientific, cultural, and educational institutions, the Bay Area Science Festival returns with a 10-day festival, scheduled October 24 – November 2, 2013.
The festival provides a wide range of science & technology activities – lectures, debates, exhibitions, concerts, plays, workshops and more at a locations throughout the Bay Area.
Expect similar events in 2013, including the return of Discovery Days in Santa Rosa, Hayward, and San Francisco.

Please join us for a free screening event of the documentary film, Rare, which offers insight into the triumphs and challenges both patients and researchers face in the struggle to advance medicine and find cures for rare disease communities.
There will also be a Q&A panel discussion immediately following the film with Heather Kirkwood, one of the clinical trial participants in the film; award-winning filmmakers Maren Grainger-Monsen, MD, and Nicole Newnham; and a Stanford rare disease researcher, Holbrook Kohrt, MD, PhD.
