Free Drumming Demo | Oakland

Preparatory Music- A Community School for Young Musicians, invites you to a Free Drumming demo on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 4 pm at the Valley Center for the Performing Arts, Holy Names University.

Learn about the different pieces of the drum set. Rhythms from several different styles of music (Jazz, Afro-Cuban, Rock and R&B). How to hold the stick properly, get a rebound from the stick hitting the snare, and play a simple rhythm on the set. Plus, Basic snare drum technique.

doesn’t force kids to make good music, but allows music to make good kids.
