Event Details

Bring your family to The Mexican Museum for a Sunday afternoon full of family-friendly activities on February 19 from noon to 4 p.m. Visitors are invited to take part in this free special art making workshop where they will be able to create and shape their own animal vessels out of air-dry clay.

The workshop complements the museum’s current exhibition Fascination with Fauna: The Portrayal of Animals in Pre-Hispanic Art, which will be closing on February 26. Pre-Hispanic cultures of Mexico, Central America, and Peru paid homage to animals by reproducing them in art for 2500 years. The museum’s co-curator of this exhibition will give a tour from 1:00 p.m. – 2 p.m. Come and enjoy this exciting exhibition.
