Free Castro Theater Film Night: Contagion | SFCreated by the Bay Area’s scientific, cultural, and educational institutions, the Bay Area Science Festival returns with a 10-day festival, scheduled October 24 – November 2, 2013.

The festival provides a wide range of science & technology activities – lectures, debates, exhibitions, concerts, plays, workshops and more at a locations throughout the Bay Area.

Expect similar events in 2013, including the return of Discovery Days in Santa Rosa, Hayward, and San Francisco.

Free Castro Theater Film Night: Contagion | SFIs the Bay Area prepared for a Pandemic?

The Skoll Global Threats Fund invites you to join us at the Castro Theater Sunday evening, October 28, 2012 at 7 p.m. (organ at 6:45 p.m.) for a special screening of “Contagion” in conjunction with the launch of Flu Near You, our collaborative project with the American Public Health Association and HealthMap.

RSVP is required to attend.

A panel of experts including technical consultants on the film will engage the local audience of invited public health officials, healthcare providers, teachers, students, law enforcement, military, churches, and corporations in a town hall discussion after the film.
